For Guests

As a guest, you can receive meal invitations from host families in your church community.

1. Sign In

Click "Sign in with Google" on the login page using your Google account.

2. Complete Your Profile

After your first sign-in, you'll be asked to complete your profile with:

  • Name: Your first and last name
  • Phone: Contact number (optional)
  • Dietary Requirements: Any allergies or dietary restrictions (required)

3. Receive Meal Offers

When an admin assigns you to a meal, you'll receive:

  • An email notification with meal details
  • A meal offer in your dashboard under "Meal Offers"

4. Accept or Decline

Review the meal details (date, time, dietary accommodations) and choose to:

  • Accept: Confirms your attendance and reveals host contact details
  • Decline: Politely declines the invitation

5. View Host Details

Once you accept, you'll see:

  • Host's name and score (number of guests served)
  • Host's phone number
  • Host's address with Google Maps link

6. Church Score

See your church's score in the header - this represents the total number of guests served by all hosts in your church community.

For Hosts

As a host, you can offer meals to welcome guests into your home.

1. Sign In

Click "Sign in with Google" on the login page using your Google account.

2. Complete Your Profile

After your first sign-in, you'll be asked to complete your profile with:

  • Name: Your first and last name
  • Phone: Contact number (optional)
  • Address: Full address including street, city, county, and post code (required)

Note: Your address is only shared with guests after they accept a meal invitation.

3. Create a Meal Offer

Click "+ Create New Meal" and provide:

  • Title: Name for your meal (e.g., "Sunday Lunch")
  • Description: Brief description of the meal
  • Date & Time: When you're hosting
  • Capacity: Maximum number of guests
  • Dietary Accommodations: What dietary needs you can accommodate

4. Manage Your Meals

For each meal you can:

  • View Bookings: See who has been assigned to your meal
  • Activate/Deactivate: Make your meal visible or hidden to admins
  • Delete: Permanently remove a meal (only if no bookings)

5. Your Host Score

Your score appears next to your name and represents the total number of guests you've served across all completed meals. This score:

  • Encourages engagement and hospitality
  • Is visible to guests and admins
  • Contributes to your church's total score

6. Guest Assignment

An admin will assign guests to your meals. Once assigned:

  • The guest receives an email invitation
  • The guest can accept or decline
  • You'll see confirmed guests in your meal bookings

Church Scores

Each church has a score displayed next to its name, representing the total number of guests served by all hosts in that church. This creates friendly competition and encourages community engagement.
